Thanksgiving

It’s beginning to look a lot like…
So, the holidays are upon us, and oh how excited I am! This is absolutely my most favorite time of year; and this year, I have a little one to make it even more fun! Up first is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is about so much more than turkey and football. It should be a time to give thanks. No matter what the circumstances of your life are, you should always be thankful. If you are honest with yourself, there is always much to be thankful for.

If you are not careful, you can get caught up in the issues of life, the things that are not going the way we would like them to and lose sight of all that is good and all that is right. The devil tries to shift our focus. He tries to take us from a position of gratitude to one of dissatisfaction and discontent. He wants us to see lack instead of provision, to see sickness instead of health, to see sadness instead of joy, to see what’s missing instead of what we have. We have to be careful to not allow this way of thinking to take over our lives. When your focus gets shifted, negativity takes root and destruction can begin to take over your life.

Being thankful is a choice. It is a mindset. When thoughts that are counter to gratitude, those of agitation, frustration, discontent, come into your mind, you must cast them out. You must replace them with thoughts of peace, joy, love, and thankfulness. You must make an exchange in your mind. Any negative mindset is not of God. In fact, it is counter to His Word; and whatever is counter to His Word should have absolutely no place in your life.

I challenge you today – During this holiday season, look for things in your life to be thankful for. Meditate on things that you can be thankful for. In fact, make a list of what you have to be thankful for. I will even start your list for you. Be thankful that your Heavenly Father loves you so much that He sent His son that you may experience and live the abundant life, the life that God designed for you. This life is so spectacular. It is a life free from shame and free from guilt and condemnation. It is a life of health, wellness, prosperity, love, joy and peace! It is a victorious life!

Live a life of Thanksgiving!
I’m so thankful for you! xoxo
